During the month of February, Barren Ridge is hosting two events.
The first event will be on February 14th for Valentine’s Day, when we invite you to come and relax by our fire and spend a quiet night with a significant other. Guests are encouraged to bring any favorite meal, whether large or small, and enjoy each other’s company. The winery will be extending hours that Sunday, from the usual 6pm closing time until after dinner (we’d ask that visitors be courteous to our staff, who are also looking to get home and spend time with loved ones).
The second event is our Third Friday night concert event, which will be on February 19th. Joining us for the 3rd straight year is guitarist and vocalist Mike Davis ( ). This month, we are also welcoming in another new food truck, Mashita (http://eatmashita.com/), also from Harrisonburg. We are so glad to have Mike back performing for us; his music is a lot of fun, and many of our customers have requested that we have him back. And, as always, we are also happy to invite a local business like Mashita to come and partner with us. So while we always welcome you to bring your own food, please consider helping us to support valley businesses by getting a great dinner from them to enjoy with the music!
Due to our Swedish Fire Festival, Barren Ridge Vineyards will be closing early on Saturday, January 30th 2016.
We will close at 5pm and opening at our regular time, 11am. Sorry for any inconveniences.
The evening begins at 6pm on Saturday, January 30th, come and experience the warmth and celebration of our Annual Swedish Fire Festival!
The night starts with coming in from the cold to be greeted with a glass of wine to pair with Swiss Raclette Cheese in the tasting room.
Chef Mike Lund (http://mikelundfood.com/) has prepared a Scandanavian inspired menu with local flare, to be served in the Audrey Blackford Room; table reservations for dinner are available for groups of 8 or more.
After dinner, join us on our enclosed patio to listen to Swiss alpenhorn music under the stars, while watching the lights of the Swedish fire logs. Additional entertainment will be provided by the dance troupe, The Nordic Dancers and fiddle star Paul Carlson. Enjoy a glass of mulled wine after dinner to stay warm!
Reservations can be made by phone or in person at Barren Ridge Vineyards. Tickets for the evening are $85 per person; they include food, wine, and entertainment, and make perfect holiday gifts. Additionally, hotel packages are available with the Stonewall Jackson Hotel (www.stonewalljacksonhotel.com). We ask that all attendees be 21 or older.

Come celebrate the Holiday Season with us at Barren Ridge! The event will feature an enjoyable afternoon of appetizers catered by Brenda Vann from Simple Elegance Catering, as well as holiday music by the Ovation Singers, and Christmas cookies from Newton Bakery. Enjoy the festive appearance of our Tasting Room and the warm glow of the fireplace while you snuggle up with Rascal and enjoy a glass of wine. We look forward to seeing all of you there!
Come celebrate with us the successful completion of another fruitful harvest at Barren Ridge! We’ll be enjoying a relaxed afternoon of live music, lawn games, food trucks, and wine here at the vineyard. If weather permits we will be outside, on the hill in front of our Cabin (behind the winery). Some seating will be provided, but we definitely encourage guests to bring a picnic blanket or some lawn chairs. Bring your own picnic or purchase food from Gloria’s Pupuseria or Cuz & ‘Em Southern Cooking & Seafood! No outside alcohol please.

Every 3rd Friday of the month, Barren Ridge hosts an evening of live music from 7 till 10, with dinner available for purchase from one of our many popular local food trucks! These fun and casual events cost only $10 per person and are free for members of our Crush Club!
Feel free to bring your own snacks or dinner, or plan to purchase menu items from our featured food truck. No outside alcohol please. Events will be hosted outside on the patio when weather permits. Otherwise they will take place in our upstairs event space, the Audrey Blackford Room. Wine will be available for purchase by the glass or bottle, and the wine glass is your souvenir to keep, as our thank you for joining us!
Table reservations are available for parties of 8 or more. Reservations for tables must be paid in advance so that we may plan accordingly and accommodate all our guests. Call us at 540-248-3300 with any questions or to place a reservation.
Please join us for complimentary live music every Friday and Saturday night from 5:30 till 8:30! The one exception to the calendar is the third Friday of every month, when we host Sunsets in the Vineyard or Firelight Friday.
